Day 1 – arrive into Glasgow and take the train on a scenic route to Oban, the “seafood capital” of Scotland.  A relaxing day to start your tour, spend this evening relaxing in the local pubs overlooking the harbour.

Day 2 – we meet you (or you can self drive this tour) and heading south towards Kilmartin, if you wish this to be a longer day, divert to Seil Island. Fantastic option according to Paul. Stop in Kilmartin village to view the kirk (church) and standing stones, crosses and burial cairns, so m. any to choose from, you could be there a while – they have been – 5000 years!! There is a pub in the village for lunch.   Then continue along to the road turning for the Crinan Canal –  great views and walks. This is a very scenic day and to end it you check into a castle on a loch for the night. Great rooms/food/drinks/scenery.

Day 3 – Start the day visiting a couple of castles… Skipness Castle &  Bruce Castle (Tarbert) or drive to the Mull of Kintyre, singing all the way! Drive to the ferry for Gigha.  You may wish (as Paul normally does) take some time at Tarbert. Overnight on Gigha.

Day 4 – a tour of the island by car. Many things to consider;  beautiful beaches, a world famous garden to get lost in, a challenging 9 hole golf course, long walks through the countryside, archaeological remains including 13th century Kilchattan Chapel. Explore the magnificent Achamore Gardens and take a run through the bamboo. Sail to the island of nearby Cara and sit in the Brownie’s Chair (don’t forget to leave it a token of thanks!). Overnight two.

Day 5 take the ferry off the island and we drive back to Oban to continue your tour with us or alternatively we route you elsewhere, this is YOUR tour, we work with you to design the rest: paul@mcleanscotland.com
