Day 1 We start in Edinburgh then drive north into Perthshire and up to Speyside. With stops en route as needed, we offer you the first night at Blervie House, a 5 star Historic Scottish Country House in a rural setting combining the best of Stately Home elegance with twenty first century modern conveniences. Sitting in nearly 300 acres of grounds with extensive views over the Moray Firth and the North Coast of Scotland. What a superb start – dinner included.
Day 2 For whisky lovers, you are in exactly the right location, with over 50 distilleries within an hours’ drive. We will take you to our/your choice, where we know a truly exceptional experience awaits you, complete with drams. Time for lunch at a very nice hotel in Huntly, followed by a shopping experience at Johnstons of Elgin, also known as Johnstons Cashmere, a woollen mill in Elgin. The mill established in 1797 is the same mill which produces cashmere garments today. This evening we take you to dinner at ……………………
Day 3 Today we move west, as we head along the length of the Great Glen (Loch Ness), stopping at Inveraray Castle for lunch. Onwards towards Oban but detour at Ballachulish to drive along Glencoe, staying overnight at Glencoe House. Wildlife tours are available on the doorstep by Landrover or by boat. Glencoe House, was built by Lord Strathcona in 1896, and sits majestically overlooking Glencoe, Scotland’s most famous Highland landscape. Glencoe House comprises fourteen generous private suites. Enjoy your time here.
Day 4 This morning, after a leisurely breakfast we head a short distance to Oban airport, for a private charter flight of your/our design (working with us to design the duration and locations visited). This afternoon youl take a private charter boat from Oban Airport to the Isle of Mull, where, you will enjoy a tour of Duart Castle and high tea with the Clan Chief of Maclean, Sir Lachlan Maclean. Taking the boat back to Oban where dinner can be taken at one of the famouse seafood restaurants. Your personal driver awaits to take you back to Glencoe.
Day 5 Today we head to the 250 berth Craobh Marina, located on the Northern shore of the Craignish peninsula south of Oban, created in one of the most scenic areas of Scotland. Here we take a private charter to the Corryvreckan Whirlpool and on to visit Jura Distillery, on the isle of the same name. Sailing back to the mainland at Crinan Canal, you meet your driver again, relax and enjoy the elegant surroundings of Dungallan Country House, set in an elevated, picturesque locationin Oban. Built in 1870 by the Duke of Argyll for his summer residence at the edge of town, superb views over Oban Bay, the Isles of Kerrera, Lismore and Mull and the sound of Kerrera. Oban Promenade and shopping is only a ten minute stroll.
Day 6 We take a scenic drive via mountains and glens to the Bonnie, Bonnie, Loch Lomond and on to Crossbasket Castle, Blantyre, Glasgow. This is a stunning 17th century castle transformed into one of Scotland’s most luxurious hotels. Steeped in history, the Stewart Drawing Room is a perfect example of the quality of restoration featuring uniquely detailed cornices finished in gold leaf to ensure these features convey the magnificent grandeur typical of this era. Your tour ends here – unless you wish to add more dates.
