Day 1 We meet you in Glasgow (airport or city) and drive north, past Loch Lomond and on to the Argyll forest to Inveraray, where we stop for a breather, maybe lunch? From here to Kilmartin Glen, home to many historic locations including 5000 year old standing stones and burial cairns. Just south of Oban we turn west to drive “over the Atlantic”, to a wee pub we know well and a village made of slate on the Isle of Seil. We continue north to Oban and take the early evening ferry to the Isle of Mull, where you stay tonight.

Day 2  Today we visit Duart Castle, home to the chiefs of Clan Maclean. We then take a scenic island tour, ending back in Tobermory where you stay again, nice selection of wee shops, restaurants and pubs in this quaint harbour town.

Day 3 Leaving Mull via the tiny Tobermory ferry, we sail to Ardnamurchan, turn east and drive a very scenic route to the Back of Keppoch, where we take a wee boat to the Isle of Rum.The crossing takes 1 3/4 hours or if we are calling by Eigg you get a half hour stop over there before continuing on to Rum. Look out for whales, dolphins, basking sharks & other marine /bird life. We land at the head of Loch Scresort and you will get your first glance of the imposing Kinloch Castle, a 20 minute walk from the pier; optional. Sail back to Keppoch and on to Mallaig. Once on Skye we drive to the road bridge and a beautiful wee village, Plockton – full of palm trees, where you stay overnight.

Day 4  A day out from Plockton on a wild road to Applecross – not for the light hearted! Time for lunch at the hotel/pub before heading back to Plockton’s palm trees! A stunningly scenic day with ever changing wild coastal scenery.

Day 5  From Plockton we drive to Eilean Donan Castle. Then down the road to Glenfinnan where Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his standard in 1745 and on to Fort William for lunch. It is then a very pleasant drive back to Glasgow and your final night in the city. Your tour ends here. The final destination can also be Edinburgh (slight difference in cost).
