ALTERATIONS TO TOURS

Itineraries may need to be changed by mcleanscotland due to weather or circumstances beyond our control. All clients will be informed of any such change prior to, or during the vacation.

CAR RENTAL

If you are renting a vehicle through mcleanscotland please read your personal travel insurance first, to see what is included in your own insurance. CDW (collision waver damage) is generally not included in Scotland, although the company we use Arnold Clark, do explain this to you at vehicle pick up, where you have the option to include this.  GPS is called “Sat Nav” in Scotland, this is additional extra on some vehicles.

CANCELLATION BY CLIENT

Deposits are non refundable. Should you have to cancel your booking for any reason, please inform McLeanScotland immediately by email. Loss of monies may be recovered through your travel insurance, subject to the terms of the policy and we would therefore encourage you to obtain cancellation cover from your insurance provider, as soon as your vacation is booked. If you cancel within two months of your start date, there is no refund however we would be happy to provide supporting documentation for any travel insurance claim.

CANCELLATION BY MCLEANSCOTLAND

In the unlikely event of mcleanscotland cancelling your tour (due to circumstances beyond their control) a full refund, or replacement will be offered.

CANCELLATION OF FERRIES

In the unlikely event of a cancellation (by the ferry company) they arrange a sailing on an alternative ferry, as soon as possible.  If overnight accommodation is required as a result, this is NOT covered by the ferry company or mcleanscotland, it is at your expense – we recommend you check your travel insurance on booking.  If you have one of their drivers on tour, you would also be liable for his accommodation.

INSURANCE

All guests travelling with mcleanscotland are strongly advised to take out insurance against cancellation, theft and medical expenses.  We advise you to read your insurance T&C before leaving home.

COMPLAINTS

Any complaints regarding accommodation or vehicle rental should be made directly to the service provider in the first instance and contacting mcleanscotland within 24 hours. Complaints regarding the tour should be made by email to McLeanScotland.
